What We Believe
Beliefs
At Jeff Church UCC, we believe faith is lived through radical welcome and courageous love. Guided by the life and teachings of Jesus, we stand with those pushed to the margins and work toward a world where dignity, equality, and compassion are not ideals but everyday realities. We celebrate the full inclusion of all people—across race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, and background—and commit ourselves to justice, peace, and the transformative power of community.
We trust in a loving God who calls us into a community of shared worth, sacred belonging, and bold compassion. We believe every person is unique and precious, and that God welcomes all—across race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, background, and every part of life’s journey.
We affirm that faith is a living, evolving journey. The search for God is ongoing, and we honor the growth, questions, doubts, and discoveries that shape each person’s path. As part of the United Church of Christ, we embrace a spirit of radical welcome and extravagant hospitality, knowing that God’s table is open to everyone.
Our faith is expressed through action. We commit ourselves to feeding the hungry, seeking justice, caring for creation, standing with the oppressed, and working for peace. We believe the church is called to speak truth with love, challenge systems that cause harm, and help build a world rooted in equity and compassion.
Above all, we believe that God is still speaking. We listen with open hearts and open minds, and we invite all people to join us in this ongoing journey of hope, justice, and community.
